Miss Johnston's Journey talk about her blank space in her room and how she turned that space into a vinyl chalkboard bulletin board. Super cute idea...just wouldn't work in my classroom. I'm in a portable with AC (PTL) and the walls only hold staples. After browsing pins and seeing this pin from
Lessons with Laughter I had some 'pinsperation' and I knew I could make this for my door!
Here is my version for the first few weeks of school. Let me tell you, it's not as easy as it looks. The vinyl is awkward to hang and it gets air bubbles for days. My coworker commented on how nice she thought it looked and I told her it is a Monet.
Tai: What's a monet?
Cher: It's like a painting, see? From far away, it's OK, but up close, it's a big old mess.
Clueless anyone?!
Each roll of vinyl cost about $5 (with a Hobby Lobby 40% off). All in all the door only cost me about $10 (hubby-to-be used his coupon too!)
